About the Role
CSN Collision in Calgary, Alberta is looking for a seasoned Senior Estimator / Assistant Manager to join their expanding collision repair center. This key leadership position is tailored for a candidate with deep expertise in vehicle damage estimation coupled with exceptional customer service, organizational aptitude, and the capability to assist with daily shop management.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise repair cost estimates using recognized industry software platforms.
- Perform comprehensive inspections to detect all instances of collision damage on vehicles.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers providing updates and managing expectations throughout the repair cycle.
- Collaborate effectively with insurance representatives, adjusters, and external vendors to secure repair authorizations and handle supplements.
- Review and validate repair plans alongside technicians to promote accuracy and efficiency.
- Help coordinate repair scheduling and streamline workflow in the shop.
- Contribute to daily operational activities ensuring production targets, quality benchmarks, and customer satisfaction are met.
- Provide support in supervising front office and production team members as needed.
- Address customer concerns with professionalism and effectiveness.
- Ensure all repair documentation is accurate, thorough, and compliant with company policies and insurance requirements.
Qualifications
- At least five years of prior experience as an automotive collision estimator.
- Leadership or management experience is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with estimating tools such as Mitchell, Audatex, or CCC ONE.
- Comprehensive knowledge of collision repair techniques, OEM standards, and insurance-related processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects efficiently in a fast-moving workplace.
- Proficient with computers and administrative tasks.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
