Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Controller for a full-time, 12-month fixed contract based in Auckland. This position within the Finance team focuses on partnering with Sales teams across grocery and on-premise channels to provide financial insights, support effective decision-making, and promote profitable growth. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and pricing evaluation to maintain strong financial governance and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver financial analysis and assist Sales teams in decision-making
• Provide routine reports and insights on volume, revenue, and margins
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
• Examine pricing strategies, promotional activities, and customer performance to enhance profitability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support commercial decisions
• Assist in key account evaluations and promotional planning
• Enhance financial process efficiency and reporting standards
• Build team capabilities in financial data comprehension

Candidate Profile

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field, with preference for Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial analysis, business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance roles
• Strong analytical aptitude able to convert data into actionable insights
• Well-versed in pricing strategies, margin analysis, and commercial performance metrics
• Proficient in advanced Excel; familiarity with SAP or Anaplan is advantageous
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in FMCG sector is favorable
