Senior Accountant

Company and Role Overview

Hatch, partnering with Ma’aden, is leading major mining and infrastructure initiatives across Saudi Arabia, employing over 10,000 professionals globally. This role focuses on advancing financial management within projects based in Riyadh, contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions in mining and energy sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle including month-end and year-end closes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS, SOCPA, and in-house policies using SAP.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, vendor payments, tax filings, expense claims, and client invoicing.
• Facilitate intercompany transactions and recharges while independently conducting external audits and preparing statutory financial statements promptly.
• Administer project financials such as setup, billing milestones, revenue recognition, and collaborate with project teams to monitor profitability and reporting.
• Lead compliance with VAT, withholding tax, ZATCA, transfer pricing, and e-invoicing regulations, managing tax filings and regulatory inquiries.
• Oversee payroll tax compliance including GOSI registration, monthly employee contributions, and support HR for end-of-service benefits.
• Implement and monitor internal controls aligned with corporate policies, support renewal of licenses and commercial registrations.
• Coordinate with departments like procurement, HR, and external agents such as banks, auditors, tax advisors for seamless financial operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Saudi national with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably within engineering, consulting, or construction sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, VAT, Zakat, and local financial regulations.
• Experienced in project accounting, client billing, and cost tracking with proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications like SOCPA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA.
• Background in multinational engineering or consulting firms.
• Familiarity with transfer pricing, intercompany recharges, and multi-entity group reporting.

Work Environment and Additional Details

• Office location: Riyadh, Servcorp Business Gate.
• Working days and hours: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
