Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and meticulous Senior Accountant to oversee the financial accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, manage taxation duties, handle banking activities, and generate accurate financial reports for our company. The ideal candidate will be well-versed with Indian tax laws and accounting standards, with proven experience in GST, TDS, and closing accounts.

Key Duties

• Maintain comprehensive books of accounts and manage the general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flows regularly.
• Complete account finalization and collaborate with statutory auditors.
• File GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns, ensuring timely compliance.
• Calculate TDS, process deductions, and file related returns.
• Ensure adherence to statutory compliances such as Income Tax, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax.
• Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and tax consultants effectively.
• Manage banking operations, including online payment processing and related documentation for guarantees and letters of credit.
• Support management with fund flow analysis, cash flow statements, and financial planning.
• Administer monthly payroll, manage statutory deductions, and maintain reimbursement records.
• Generate and present Management Information System (MIS) reports monthly.
• Examine expenditure to suggest cost-saving strategies.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, Income Tax, Provident Fund (PF), and Employee State Insurance (ESI) regulations.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Tally Prime accounting software.
