Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant within our Business Advisory team, you will collaborate with a varied client portfolio, enabling them to make sound business decisions and meet their financial objectives. This role involves accounting, tax, and advisory services while nurturing lasting client connections and serving as a trusted consultant.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of financial statements ensuring adherence to accounting standards
- Delivery of management reports, budgeting, cashflow forecasts, and analysis of business performance
- Preparation of tax returns and identification of tax planning and restructuring opportunities
- Providing pragmatic business advice supporting client growth and strategic goals
- Managing client engagements including monitoring progress and sustaining strong relationships
- Assisting with trust-related issues, compliance with Companies Office requirements, and implementing accounting software
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in Business Advisory Services within a Chartered Accountant environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Qualification with CAANZ or ACCA, or near completion
- Proficient in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management reporting
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and other cloud-based platforms
- Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities
