Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the SCADA operational system and coordinate technicians to address system jams and faults.
• Document and report chronological events during unexpected operational incidents.
• Gather operational data to support reporting activities.
• Maintain and update flight allocations within strategic planning tools and ensure precise documentation of information.
• Manage startup routines, verify operations, purging, and sortation processes, ensuring the accurate routing of baggage.
• Supervise baggage screening and routing; investigate anomalies and promptly escalate issues to the shift leader for resolution.
• Monitor Baggage Status Message (BSM) delivery, reporting any concerns to baggage handling system operations for timely corrective actions.
• Oversee manual baggage encoding activities and allocate flight schedules to ensure correct bag sorting.
• Conduct visual inspections of server room equipment, promptly reporting any unusual or unexpected conditions to the shift leader.
• Perform other assigned tasks as required by management.
• Provide training to newly hired SCADA/BPI operators.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Technical Officer or Operator is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control & Instrumentation, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Leadership and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Between zero to two years’ experience in baggage handling or automated material handling systems focused on operations and maintenance.
• At least two to three years of hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
• Positive team-oriented attitude.
• Availability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Work Hours and Conditions

• This is a full-time role supporting a round-the-clock 24/7 operation with three rotating shifts.
• Additional overtime, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
• Shift schedules can include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mid-shifts, with flexibility being a critical requirement.
