Role Overview

The Safety Officer position based in Nagpur is a full-time onsite role focused on enforcing health, safety, and security protocols within the acid regeneration and associated industrial environments. This role demands proactive monitoring of safety standards and promotion of a culture dedicated to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Recommend and implement corrective measures to address identified risks.
• Maintain thorough safety documentation, including incident records and safety reports.
• Lead investigations of workplace accidents by determining root causes and developing prevention strategies.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Design and deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to employees and contractors.
• Collaborate with operational and management teams to ensure full compliance with applicable legal regulations, company policies, and industry safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• In-depth understanding of Health & Safety principles and Occupational Health practices applicable in industrial settings.
• Proven experience with accident investigations including root cause analysis and incident documentation.
• Familiarity with security protocols and facility safety management, including monitoring and emergency readiness.
• Competence in creating and delivering engaging safety training programs.
• Educational background with a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognized qualifications are strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical or process industry operations, particularly in hazardous materials handling and storage, is advantageous.
• Strong communication, observation, and report-writing capabilities, with an ability to influence safety behaviour across all organizational levels.
• Willingness to work onsite in Nagpur and coordinate effectively within cross-functional teams.
