Role Summary

We are looking for a Retail Recruiter dedicated to attracting, hiring, and retaining top-tier associates. The role involves growing a robust talent pool using a variety of recruitment approaches, including face-to-face interactions, social media engagement, job advertisements, and leveraging employee referrals.

Key Responsibilities

• Crafting and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies.
• Visiting competitor and other retail locations to identify promising candidates for store roles.
• Utilizing databases and social media to source and engage potential applicants.
• Conducting and screening interviews to assess candidates for available positions effectively.
• Creating and regularly updating job descriptions and specifications.
• Analyzing job roles to define responsibilities and requirements.
• Preparing recruitment materials and posting job openings on relevant job boards, colleges, and mall recruitment venues.
• Reviewing resumes and applications to shortlist suitable candidates.
• Employing diverse recruitment and selection methodologies to evaluate candidates.
• Assessing applicants’ qualifications including knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitude.
• Providing management with detailed and analytical recruitment reports.
• Building strong candidate relationships, acting as a liaison throughout the selection process.
• Supporting management with hiring documentation through the Kronos HR/Payroll system.
• Enhancing the company’s image as an attractive workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a retail recruiter.
• Proficiency in various interview techniques such as structured and competency-based interviews.
• Practical knowledge of multiple selection processes including in-person, online, phone interviews, and reference verification.
• Experience with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Familiarity with recruitment software and Human Resource Information or Management Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong skills in decision-making.

Work Schedule

This is a hybrid position located in Matteson, IL.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $72,000 annually.
