About the Role
Our client seeks a dependable and detail-conscious Cleaner to service residential rental properties. The role involves executing cleaning tasks for move-in/move-out scenarios, rental turnovers, and general property readiness. The company manages residential rentals, coordinating leasing, maintenance, inspections, access, and property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning services at residential rental locations including move-in, move-out, rental turnover, and preparation cleanings
- Carry out thorough cleaning consistent with company quality standards across kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures
- Remove all dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and residual items as necessary
- Wipe down counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched surfaces
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and floor cleaning duties
- Clean inside household appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers where required
- Identify sections needing extra cleaning, junk removal, repairs, maintenance, or further follow-up
- Document work quality through clear before-and-after photographs and videos
- Provide detailed reports, including notes, photos, and videos, following each visit
- Communicate professionally and courteously with property owners, tenants (when applicable), prospective tenants (when applicable), and internal teams
- Adhere strictly to cleaning checklists, company instructions, access procedures, and appointment specifics
General Cleaning Tasks Include
- Move-in and move-out cleanings
- Rental turnover and deep cleaning
- Kitchen, bathroom, appliance, dusting, and floor cleaning
- Cabinet and drawer cleaning, window sill and baseboard cleaning
- Removal of garbage and light debris
- Preparing properties for photos, showings, inspections, or new tenants
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaner
- Comprehensive understanding of residential cleaning best practices
- Access to reliable transportation and necessary cleaning equipment and supplies
- Capable of working independently onsite at rental properties
- Possession of an iPhone 13 or equivalent smartphone with high-quality camera for clear photo and video documentation
- Proficient in taking clear photos/videos and composing concise notes post-visit
- Professionalism, reliability, punctuality, keen attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning checklists and property access instructions
- Effective communication skills with property stakeholders and team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in move-in/move-out cleaning and rental turnovers
- Experience servicing residential rentals prior to photos, inspections, or tenant move-in
- Ability to recognize damages, maintenance issues, junk removal, pest problems, access challenges, or unsafe conditions
- Experience operating independently for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services firms
