Resident Surveyor

Overview

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Resident Surveyor to join our rapidly growing operations team. This role involves conducting various routine and complex surveying tests and ensuring accurate, timely results with minimal supervision. Adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and ethical conduct is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, organize, and lead site surveying activities, ensuring smooth work progress and verifying control points per statutory standards.
• Manage in-house data processing related to surveying and properly maintain surveying tools such as total stations and leveling instruments.
• Perform periodic site inspections as part of quality assurance for ongoing projects.
• Conduct regular surveying skill training sessions to enhance the team's technical capabilities.
• Support production teams by preparing shop drawings, as-built survey diagrams, and setting out actual work when needed.
• Establish survey points and levels onsite and plan daily survey workflows.
• Motivate and guide the team to achieve timely, efficient, and precise survey measurements.
• Participate in site meetings and liaise professionally with clients regarding land surveying issues, proposing alternative approaches when required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a degree in Land or Engineering Surveying or a relevant technical qualification from a recognized society.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience as a surveyor.
