Research Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a Singapore-based advisory firm specializing in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and the Low-Altitude Economy (LAE) across Asia, seeks a detail-oriented Research Analyst. This position focuses on turning complex data into actionable insights such as briefs, market maps, and presentations. The role offers location flexibility and exposure to cutting-edge aviation sectors like eVTOL, drones, and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor trends and developments in AAM, eVTOL, drones, vertiports, autonomy, and APAC regulatory changes.
• Conduct comprehensive market scans, trend analyses, and country-specific research.
• Construct competitor profiles, benchmark comparisons, and stakeholder mappings covering OEMs, operators, airports, regulators, and investors.
• Identify strategic opportunities and relevant contacts to support advisory projects.
• Create polished client-facing materials including slide decks, one-pagers, and briefing notes based on research and founder input.
• Maintain consistency in structure, formatting, and quality of internal and external documentation.
• Track regulatory developments and help prepare materials such as regulatory briefing notes and market-entry playbooks.
• Manage the firm's internal research repositories, organizing fragmented data into accessible knowledge bases.

Candidate Requirements

• Current student or recent graduate in aviation, business, public policy, international relations, engineering, economics, or related disciplines.
• Strong enthusiasm for startups and entrepreneurship.
• Excellent written English skills with the ability to distill complex information into concise and clear reports.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint or Google Slides, demonstrating good design and formatting capabilities.
• Comfort using AI tools to enhance research and productivity.
• Ability to work independently and produce quality first drafts from partial information.
• Attention to detail, strong version control, and adherence to deadlines.
• Genuine interest in aviation, AAM, eVTOL, or emerging mobility technologies.
• Familiarity with APAC markets is advantageous along with consulting research experience, data visualization skills, or proficiency in regional languages such as Chinese, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese, or Korean.
