Job description
Position Overview
We are looking to hire a Regional Journal Development Editor to be stationed in Singapore on a full-time basis. This role involves fostering relationships within the academic community to increase the visibility and impact of our journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively promote the company’s journal portfolio in the local academic sector to boost awareness and scholarly influence.
- Establish and nurture strong partnerships with universities, hospitals, research organizations, academic societies, and conference hosts.
- Serve as the company representative at academic conferences, institutional visits, webinars, scholarly exchange sessions, and local networking events.
- Gather intelligence on the local market and keep track of research developments in related fields.
- Provide periodic reports detailing progress in academic contacts, potential partnership opportunities, conference resources, market analysis, and recommendations for journal growth.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biomedicine, life sciences, or related disciplines.
- Acquaintance with the academic environments of hospitals, universities, or research institutes within the region.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese languages.
- Demonstrated capability to identify academic resources proactively and manage professional, timely engagement and follow-up.
