Job description
Position Overview
As a Recreation Experience Expert specializing as a Pool Attendant at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, you will serve as a primary resource for all recreational activities offered on the property. Your role involves informing guests about available facilities including the pool, beach, fitness center, entertainment zones, and children's activity areas. You will actively engage guests to participate, register, and schedule recreational activities while fostering a vibrant and relaxing environment.
Key Duties
- Provide guests with detailed information about recreation facilities and promote safe, enjoyable use by adhering to established rules and regulations for guest safety.
- Monitor recreational areas and respond promptly to emergencies following local operational guidelines.
- Execute cashier duties for transactions related to equipment rentals, activity fees, and retail sales.
- Assist with group events and private functions hosted in recreational areas.
- Identify guests who might be unsafe to participate in activities and notify supervisors accordingly.
- Offer first aid assistance to injured guests until professional medical help arrives.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and materials.
- Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety trainings and certifications.
- Adhere strictly to company policies including uniform standards and confidentiality requirements, while protecting company assets.
- Engage guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and provide assistance that includes accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both in person and on the telephone.
- Build and support positive teamwork to achieve shared goals.
- Perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, lifting moderate weights, and moving through various terrains within the property.
- Complete additional reasonable duties as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
- Any additional certifications related to recreation equipment as required by regulatory authorities.
- No prior experience or supervisory roles required for this position.
