Position Overview

BEYOND Developments, a subsidiary of OMNIYAT Group, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to oversee quantity surveying functions across development projects. This role ensures project costs align with budgets, timelines, and company policies, providing strategic cost management and contract oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on all commercial management aspects and post-contract administration including contract correspondence.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with consultants, project directors/managers, and development directors/managers to execute quantity surveying functions within the commercial department.
  • Guarantee commercial operations support the broader development schedule.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of cost estimates throughout all development phases.
  • Track project budgets, commitments, and change management processes for multiple projects.
  • Manage and supervise all quantity surveying and commercial management activities ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Provide advice on contractual entitlements regarding variations and claims, including expertise in extensions of time for project completion.
  • Consistently update and consult with the Line Manager and Senior Director – Commercial on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Address and plan responses to exceptional issues within assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborate proactively with leadership, presenting findings from assigned analyses and tackling project risk factors.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and management objectives by designing and implementing strategy and control programs to support these goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project budgets and report any potential concerns.
  • Supervise the appropriate administration of contracts and consultancy agreements according to standard conditions.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior Quantity Surveyors in their duties.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is required.
  • A total of 6 to 9 years of professional experience.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in Quantity Surveying within property development and/or consultancy sectors.
