Role Overview and Location
This position is based in Newport, Wales, with additional work locations including Titchfield (Fareham) and Darlington. The organisation maintains a flexible hybrid working approach across the UK, requiring employees to attend the office at least 40% of their working time, alternating between on-site and remote work throughout the week.
Compensation and Work Patterns
The role offers a salary of £34,587 annually and flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, flexible hours, and job-sharing options.
Candidate Requirements and Eligibility
Applicants must have resided in the UK for three consecutive years immediately prior to applying due to Security Clearance requirements. Essential qualifications include significant experience in data management, data analysis, or data engineering with a focus on assessing and enhancing data quality. Strong communication skills are vital, including the ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences, influence stakeholders effectively, and provide clear briefings to senior management.
Successful candidates will have experience collaborating with various internal stakeholders across different roles and departments, building positive working relationships. There is an emphasis on innovation and adaptability, with candidates encouraged to identify and implement meaningful improvements in service and operational performance. Experience working with government data or producing official statistics in line with the Code of Practice for Statistics is also required.
