Quality Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our client’s manufacturing facility located in Northern Germany, specializing in aerospace, aviation, and automotive components. As the Quality Manager, you will directly report to senior management and assume responsibility for the entire quality management system on-site. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that quality processes are effectively implemented and maintained. You will lead a dedicated team of quality professionals and act as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and oversee the quality management system aligning with relevant industry standards.
• Maintain and continuously enhance the quality standards as outlined in the company’s quality management manual.
• Manage the creation, updating, and documentation of the quality management system.
• Prepare for and conduct internal and external quality audits, providing necessary support.
• Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and mentor a small quality team to achieve departmental goals.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver annual reports to senior leadership detailing the effectiveness and compliance status of the quality management system.

Candidate Profile

• At least 7 years of professional experience in quality management within sectors such as electrical, aerospace, aviation, automotive, or mechanical engineering.
• Certification as a Quality Management Representative, Internal/External Auditor, or equivalently qualified.
• Practical experience with industry quality standards including IATF 16949, EN 9100, IRIS/ISO 22163, or analogous standards in aerospace, aviation, automotive, rail, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in quality management roles within regulated manufacturing contexts.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems, methodologies, and technical documentation practices.
• Proficiency in German at a fluent level and good command of English.
