Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector specializing in electrical systems to join our team supporting a government client in Doha, Qatar. This role requires ensuring all electrical work meets strict quality standards through thorough inspections, stakeholder coordination, and effective documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all assigned tasks comply with established KPIs and service agreements, actively collaborating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct scheduled and surprise inspections on electrical installations to verify conformity with approved blueprints, technical specs, project requirements, and applicable local and international codes.
• Evaluate components such as power distribution, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, low-voltage systems, control panels, cabling, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Management Systems during contractor operations.
• Oversee electrical testing and commissioning processes including cable continuity, insulation resistance, functional tests, and performance verification.
• Identify and report non-conformities or deviations, proposing corrective and preventive measures.
• Investigate recurring quality problems through root cause analysis; compile comprehensive inspection reports with evidence including photographs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely recording of inspection results using designated systems.
• Provide technical assistance and quality guidance to contractors and project personnel on site.
• Engage with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues and promote best practices.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout inspection activities.
• Participate in on-call escalation duties and provide support to colleagues to meet business demands.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical quality inspection, construction oversight, or quality assurance within infrastructure, utilities, or building projects.
• Educational qualification of Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Proven expertise in applying and sustaining Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including local laws and international references such as IEC and BS standards.
• Experience with reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, test results, and quality documents.
• Excellent skills in report drafting, communication, and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Exposure to government clients or large-scale infrastructure initiatives is a distinct advantage.
• Preference given to bilingual candidates fluent in Arabic and English.
