About the Role
An exciting opening is available for a Quality Control Inspector to join a global enterprise with over £2 billion in turnover, specializing in produce quality management. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Product Manager and quality teams to uphold superior service standards for Asda.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage quality standards of stock from site arrival through to dispatch efficiently and effectively.
- Make strategic decisions regarding optimal and efficient use of products.
- Deliver accurate, timely information to the Senior Product Manager to relay to growers.
- Conduct investigations into all product rejections.
- Ensure daily completion, review, and progression of all reports.
- Coordinate with the Packhouse to guarantee adherence to ASDA Specifications and compliance standards.
- Perform internal audits regularly.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths at grades A, B, or C (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of BRC auditing processes.
- Possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Knowledge of the PR2 data system.
- Assertiveness to challenge standard procedures when necessary.
- Strong discipline, systematic approach, and precision in work.
