About Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo)
Located in Richland, Washington, CPCCo is committed to securing a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area by protecting the Columbia River and remediating the Central Plateau. We work to eliminate some of the most hazardous waste streams and facilities within the Department of Energy complex, striving to reduce environmental risks on the Hanford Site through innovative and dedicated efforts. Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct QA surveillances, assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance and effective implementation of CPCCo's Quality Assurance Program.
- Develop, review, and authorize documentation and procedures related to the QA Program, ensuring integration of QA requirements into project planning, procurement, and performance assurance, including commercial grade dedications and product Quality Assurance Inspection Plans.
- Perform field inspections and oversee activities, utilizing basic, mechanical, and welding level II inspection specialties.
- Provide expert guidance in quality assurance/quality control to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Oversee contractor and contract-related QA activities.
- Offer Quality Assurance engineering support to CPCCo projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Career Grade 18 requires at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Career Grade 19 requires at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Level Grade 20 requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- The offered grade level will depend on company needs and the candidate's credentials.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Proficiency in computer-based procurement and work control systems.
- Familiarity with standards such as ASME, AWS, ASNT, ISO, ASTM, IBC, and NQA-1, as well as Commercial Grade Dedication techniques.
- Possession of inspection certifications for basic, mechanical, civil, and welding disciplines.
- Experience supporting nuclear facility construction projects.
- Knowledge of conducting project document reviews, surveillances, and audits.
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
Compensation and Benefits
CPCCo’s salary offers are determined by evaluating job responsibilities alongside candidates’ education and experience relative to internal and external benchmarks. Salary history will not be requested. The anticipated annual salary ranges based on a 40-hour workweek are:
- Grade 18: $94,750 to $151,800
- Grade 19: $104,200 to $166,650
- Grade 20: $114,700 to $183,450
Variable pay awards may be available in addition to base pay.

Workplace culture features casual dress (jeans allowed) and a schedule comprised of four 10-hour days enabling long weekends to enjoy outdoor activities around the Pacific Northwest.
