About the Role

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and maintain automated testing scripts and frameworks specifically for web and API automation.
  • Embed automated tests seamlessly within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Execute automated test routines, analyze outcomes comprehensively, and provide detailed feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Draft thorough and organized test plans and cases to ensure effective quality evaluation.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate all testing activities effectively.
  • Document and monitor defects accurately to facilitate resolution.
  • Support performance and load testing efforts when necessary.
  • Engage in code reviews, promoting and implementing best quality assurance practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, or equivalents.
  • Competency in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST API frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools including Jenkins, GitLab, and Git.
  • Knowledge of SQL or related data validation technologies.
  • Deep understanding of software testing fundamentals, QA methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and communication capabilities.
  • Experience with performance/load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is advantageous.
  • Background in financial services or similarly regulated sectors is a plus.
