Position Overview

If you prefer an active role outside the office and want a meaningful career in technical field services, consider joining Hydromax USA as a Project Manager. This position offers dynamic fieldwork focusing on water utilities projects essential to communities, combining remote planning from your home with onsite project coordination. You will receive company vehicle support for extensive regional travel. The role seeks experienced project managers skilled in leading teams, budget oversight, safety enforcement, and client-focused problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project operations including assisting with initial project estimates alongside sales and supporting proposals, managing projects to meet financial targets, progress milestones, and client satisfaction.
  • Review and approve weekly job cost updates and revenue forecasts monthly.
  • Direct project teams through clear communication, coordination, and follow-up to ensure understanding and fulfillment of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Motivate staff for optimal productivity and cost efficiency, and conduct scheduling, safety, and training workshops.
  • Develop project protocols consistent with contractual and quality requirements; manage controls, timelines, and budgets.
  • Represent the company in client, contractor, subcontractor, and vendor meetings, including kick-offs, walk-throughs, and reviews.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate training compliance efforts with training management to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Secure approvals for any changes in project scope, budget, or schedule.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication, adjusting as needed within contract limits to align with client and corporate objectives.
  • Provide mentoring and training to Field Supervisors and crews to foster employee growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years in underground utility management.
  • Previous Project Manager or Engineer experience involving field operations, estimating, contracts, and client relations within service-oriented utilities.
  • Ability to obtain and hold an underground utility contractor license.
  • Proven leadership abilities with expertise in safety, contract negotiations, planning, and administration.
  • Highly self-motivated with independence in work execution.
  • Rapid learner of policies, procedures, and software applications related to Hydromax USA operations.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective team leader skilled in operations, contracts, dispute resolution, and organizational planning.
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended durations regularly.
  • Proficient in planning, scope management, and time estimation.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills at senior levels.
