About the Role
Join WSP's Invercargill team as a Project Technician supporting important infrastructure and engineering initiatives across the Southland region. This position involves closely assisting experienced engineers and project managers throughout the lifecycle of various projects related to transportation, water, building, and planning sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of infrastructure and engineering projects throughout Southland.
- Contribute to the development of design briefs, project schedules, and cost projections.
- Handle project documentation, including reporting and record keeping.
- Support design activities, conduct site inspections, and participate in fieldwork as needed.
- Track project progress against planned timelines and budgets.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve effective project outcomes.
- Promote safe work environments and uphold quality assurance standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related field.
- Approximately 2 or more years of professional experience in a comparable capacity.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Team-oriented with a client-centered approach and dedication to delivering quality results.
- Exhibit high professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Hold a full, clean driver's license.
