Job Overview
We seek a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Engineer focusing on pipeline inspection and quality assurance within the Oil & Gas industry. The role demands expertise in mechanical engineering principles and hands-on experience in pipeline systems to ensure compliance and certification of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspection, verification, and certification activities to ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports, facilitating communication and coordination with Engineers In Charge (EIC).
- Review and validate construction documents, inspection reports, and testing records critically.
- Supervise inspection tasks related to pipeline installation, flushing, pressure testing, and valve fitting for MDPE, Steel, and PE pipelines.
- Inspect GI risers, copper piping, meters, and regulators primarily under LMC scopes.
- Validate as-built documentation, final pipeline records, and oversee commissioning operations.
- Perform vendor and manufacturer site inspections as necessary to assure material and procedural compliance.
- Submit detailed daily progress reports and provide updates to all relevant project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, or a Mechanical Engineering Diploma holder with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Proven experience in pipeline inspection, especially with MDPE pipelines.
