Role overview
Flynn Edmonton is hiring a Project Coordinator for its Edmonton office in Alberta. This is a salaried, full-time office role within the building envelope industry. In this position, you will support project delivery by organizing, directing, and tracking project-related activities under the guidance of a Project Manager.
What you can expect
Team members highlight the chance to work with experienced colleagues, build strong relationships, take on challenging work, contribute to high-profile projects, enjoy a supportive culture, and keep learning as some of the best parts of the role.
Key duties
You will work closely with the Project Manager to keep schedules, materials, and equipment moving as planned. The role also involves coordinating submittals, monitoring schedules and quality standards, reviewing contracts and accepted quotations, preparing purchase orders, creating material order sheets, reviewing quantity takeoffs, attending team meetings, and helping production teams prepare pricing.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate of a Construction or Engineering & Technologies program, or a related field, or brings at least 1 year of construction-industry experience. Experience in glazing or metals coordination is considered an advantage. Strong MS Office skills, including MS Project, are important, along with solid organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. You should be comfortable multitasking, working collaboratively, and reading blueprints confidently.
