Production Operations Manager

Overview

The Production Operations Manager will supervise every stage of manufacturing to ensure the delivery of high-quality custom and standard sheet metal enclosures. This role involves managing the full manufacturing workflow from raw sheet metal to the final coated, assembled products, combining practical leadership with operational coordination.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate multi-stage production activities including CNC laser cutting, punching, press brake bending, powder coating, and hardware assembly on a daily and weekly basis.
• Enhance production processes by reducing lead times and removing bottlenecks, especially in high-demand fabrication cells.
• Maintain strict quality control over dimensional tolerances for enclosure fitment and powder coating finish including thickness, adhesion, and appearance.
• Design and manage efficient assembly lines incorporating hardware components like PEM fasteners, hinges, gaskets, and electrical/mechanical parts.
• Lead a skilled and diverse workforce of CNC operators, laser operators, brake press technicians, powder coaters, and assembly workers, including cross-training initiatives.
• Administer prevention-oriented maintenance programs for critical equipment such as laser cutters, multi-axis press brakes, and paint ovens to minimize downtime.
• Oversee material efficiency by monitoring sheet metal nesting to reduce scrap and control usage of chemicals and powders in painting processes.
• Review and approve the final bill of materials prepared collaboratively by design, engineering, and production ERP teams, ensuring manufacturing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical diploma.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years managing operations specifically in precision sheet metal fabrication focusing on enclosures or cabinets.
• Technical expertise in production planning software, manufacturing execution systems (MES/MRP), CNC laser nesting, sheet metal bending calculations, and robotic welding trajectories.
• Familiarity with interpreting complex engineering drawings, utilizing ERP/MES for job tracking, and implementing Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proficient in either English or Arabic languages.
