Product Manager, Billing Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager for a billing platform, collaborating with a partner company in Germany. This role presents an exciting opportunity to influence the development of financial products in a dynamic, internationally-focused tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic vision and product roadmap for the billing platform, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle, from understanding customer and business demands to delivering scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, operations, sales, and other departments to tackle complex challenges.
• Identify key problems to resolve and steer teams toward effective, iterative solutions.
• Translate strategic initiatives into clear, actionable short- and mid-term objectives for execution.
• Serve as an expert on the billing product domain by grasping customer needs, business requirements, and market trends.
• Lead prioritization efforts by evaluating customer impact, business value, technical complexity, and long-term direction.
• Facilitate delivery of impactful product enhancements through structured experimentation and iteration.
• Define and track product metrics and KPIs to measure success and inform decision-making.
• Partner with technical teams to develop prototypes, validate concepts, and expedite product development using AI-assisted tools.
• Independently manage complex projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Clearly communicate the product vision, progress, and impact across the organization.
• Contribute knowledge, processes, and best practices to enhance product management expertise.
• Operate effectively in an asynchronous working environment, fostering transparency, ownership, and proactive decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated product management experience in billing, invoicing, payments, financial products, or related areas.
• Proven success in high-growth technology settings handling complex product challenges.
• Proficiency using AI-driven development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to independently create, debug, and deploy functional prototypes or minor code updates.
• Strong strategic judgment with a notable ability to prioritize and define feature scopes effectively.
• Track record of delivering measurable product outcomes and business value.
• A passion for devising simple, efficient, and scalable solutions for complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical, commercial, and operational teams.
• Capability to convert business requirements into clear strategies and actionable plans.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and design teams to bring products to market.
• High degree of ownership, autonomy, curiosity, and drive to advance initiatives.
• Fluent English communication, both spoken and written.
• Experience navigating remote or distributed work environments is advantageous.
