Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a key domain within a client group that serves care organizations across the UK, Ireland, and Australia in regulated healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and align the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your domain with overall company strategy and revenue goals.
- Ensure every roadmap decision correlates with commercial outcomes such as new annual recurring revenue, retention, expansion, win rates, or cost efficiencies.
- Develop the business case for major investments including opportunity sizing, build vs. buy analysis, competitive positioning, pricing, and expected revenue impact.
- Utilize structured prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, weighted scoring, opportunity-solution trees) to make transparent trade-offs.
- Support sales enablement by translating product capabilities into compelling commercial narratives, assisting strategic deals.
- Address priorities identified through customer feedback processes and demonstrate their impact on retention and satisfaction amongst clients and commercial teams.
- Manage go-to-market activities for significant product releases, including positioning, launch planning, customer communication, and alignment across Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation teams.
- Lead continuous market and customer discovery through interviews, commercial discussions, analytics, and research to identify unmet needs and validate opportunities.
- Define clear problem statements, opportunity assessments, and success metrics before engineering engagement.
- Engage closely with customers, prospects, and cross-functional teams to represent the customer's voice and integrate feedback into product prioritization.
- Identify opportunities for integrating AI, machine learning, and large language models to improve the platform by automating workflows, predictions, and content generation.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to specify AI feature requirements, including training data, evaluation criteria, responsible AI guardrails, and explainability.
- Write clear, detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide engineering work without ambiguity.
- Partner with engineering to manage sprint planning, scope, and technical decisions while understanding architectural constraints.
- Prioritize minimum viable products and iterative deliveries balancing speed and quality within a regulated healthcare context.
- Ensure product quality throughout all lifecycle stages and measure post-launch commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate broadly across product, engineering, and marketing teams to coordinate delivery and facilitate problem-solving workshops.
AI-Native Working Practices
- Adopt AI-first practices using tools like Claude and AI analytics to accelerate research synthesis, analysis, product documentation, and drafting.
- Use AI build tools (e.g., Lovable) to quickly prototype and validate user journeys before committing engineering resources.
- Create and maintain reusable AI prompts, agents, and automation to enhance team-wide AI usage.
- Stay informed about AI developments relevant to healthcare including regulatory and ethical considerations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in SaaS or platform environments with proven measurable commercial impact (revenue growth, churn reduction, etc.).
- Strong commercial acumen including fluency with ARR, NRR, churn, deal economics, and business case development.
- Hands-on, daily experience using AI tools extensively across product management workflows, including prompt engineering and automation of product tasks.
- Proven expertise in defining AI-enabled product features with considerations for evaluation, bias, explainability, and regulated settings.
- Excellent discovery and research capabilities with experience conducting interviews, surveys, usability testing, and structured prioritization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including writing clear product requirement documents and facilitating stakeholder engagement.
- Comfort operating within regulated environments addressing compliance, data privacy, and clinical safety.
- Proficiency with tools like Claude, Jira, Confluence, Lovable, and analytics platforms such as Gong, Jiminny, or HubSpot.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare, health technology, or social care technology sectors familiar with regulatory frameworks like CQC, HIQA, or equivalents.
- Knowledge of data modeling or business intelligence tools enabling self-service data analysis.
- Familiarity with platform or API product management including developer experience and ecosystem thinking.
- Background working in private equity-backed or high-growth SaaS companies emphasizing speed, rigor, and commercial impact.
