About Amazon and Role Overview

The Process Assistant supports an Area Manager and focuses on duties related to their designated process path.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and engage actively within the department as needed.
- Support daily departmental management tasks including labor allocation, conducting meetings, and assigning tasks.
- Provide coverage for Area Managers during their absence.
- Manage policy enforcement and attendance monitoring without disciplinary authority.
- Track and report labor hours and ATS metrics.
- Serve as a resource on the floor by training associates and ensuring SOP adherence.
- Monitor and enhance area performance through data tracking and employee feedback.
- Contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Perform production duties when necessary.
- Understand workflow and daily production objectives thoroughly.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Identify and address workplace safety hazards and promote safe work practices.
- Coach associates on safe working habits consistently.
- Participate actively in safety programs and initiatives.
- Immediately report any job-related injuries to the Area Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for up to 12 hours, and frequently perform activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as required.
Preferred Qualification
- Applicants should be 18 years or older.
