About the Role
A leading early childhood education network with several locations in Bengaluru is seeking committed Pre-Primary Teachers to join their team. The organization emphasizes progressive, child-focused, and activity-based teaching approaches aimed at fostering young learners' all-around growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement daily engaging lessons aligned with the early childhood curriculum and activity guidelines.
- Create and sustain a classroom atmosphere that is colorful, child-friendly, safe, hygienic, and conducive to sensory and experiential learning.
- Guide children through activities enhancing motor skills, storytelling, phonics, rhymes, arts and crafts, and foundational numeracy.
- Observe, monitor, and document the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social milestones of each child.
- Recognize individual learning needs and provide personalized support to help children progress at a comfortable pace.
- Maintain detailed developmental portfolios, progress reports, and attendance for all assigned students.
- Facilitate regular Parent-Teacher Meetings to communicate children's progress and share insights on habits and growth.
- Ensure timely and positive communication with parents through school portals and notices on a daily or weekly basis.
- Participate actively in organizing school events such as annual functions, sports days, field trips, and celebrations.
Candidate Profile
- A sincere passion for nurturing children aged 2 to 6 years with patience and empathy.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Good understanding of early childhood educational methodologies including Montessori, Playway, ECCE, and phonics.
- Ability to maintain enthusiasm, creative energy, and a positive classroom environment throughout the day.
- Preferably residing in Bengaluru or nearby with easy access to commute.
Qualifications & Experience
The applicant should hold a graduate degree in any field along with qualifications such as NTT (Nursery Teacher Training), Montessori Certification, ECCE certification, or a B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Candidates must have between 1 to over 5 years of experience in early childhood, pre-primary, or kindergarten teaching.
Selection Process
- Initial telephonic screening for profile fit, communication, and commute feasibility.
- Video interview assessing teaching methods, subject knowledge, and behavioral traits.
- Final in-person interview including a live teaching demonstration at the client's campus with school leadership.
