Job description
Position Overview
This role plays a vital part in managing recreational activities across the property, including pools, beach areas, fitness center, entertainment/Game room, and child activity zones. You will assist guests by providing detailed information on available recreational amenities, encourage their participation, and help organize and schedule activities ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment that prioritizes guest safety and enjoyment.
Key Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests regarding all recreation services and facilities.
- Promote and enforce safety rules and regulations within recreation areas to maintain guest welfare.
- Observe activities vigilantly, responding correctly to emergencies following local procedures.
- Offer cashier and transaction services when operating in areas with POS systems.
- Support and participate in private events hosted in the recreational spaces, including group activities.
- Identify and report cases where guests may be unfit for participation and alert supervisors accordingly.
- Provide first aid assistance to injured guests until medical professionals arrive.
- Clean and upkeep recreational areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure a pleasant environment.
- Report accidents or unsafe conditions to management promptly and comply with ongoing safety training and certifications.
- Maintain company standards in appearance, confidentiality, and conduct.
- Deliver high-quality guest interaction by greeting, anticipating needs, aiding guests with disabilities, and expressing appreciation.
- Communicate professionally via spoken language and telephone etiquette.
- Foster teamwork and positive relationships within the workplace to achieve shared objectives.
- Handle payment processing for equipment rentals, activity fees, and retail sales.
- Conform to quality assurance and company policies consistently.
- Read and interpret information in various formats, operate computers and POS devices.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, sitting for extended periods and performing tasks requiring lifting or moving objects up to and beyond 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
- Navigate and work in diverse environments including confined or slippery areas and different elevations safely.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is preferred.
- Experience: No prior related work experience required.
- Supervision: This is a non-management role with no supervisory responsibilities.
- Certifications: Must hold current CPR and First Aid certification plus any other licenses or training mandated by local authorities pertaining to recreation equipment handling.
