Believing in the inherent capabilities of PWIDs, the organization aims to empower them and improve their quality of life while promoting inclusivity within Singapore. Currently one of the largest charities in the country, MINDS employs over 1,200 staff members. The organization focuses on expanding community-based services, enhancing PWIDs' employability, and supporting education, along with fostering inclusive community living. Services include schools, training centers, home care, and community programs addressing the physical, psychological, environmental, and social needs of PWIDs.

Role Overview

The Physiotherapist will assist clients in regaining mobility, functionality, and independence. This involves conducting thorough assessments, devising personalized therapy plans, and applying manual therapy techniques. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to uphold high clinical and professional standards. Responsibilities include caseload management, supervising students, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver therapy interventions and provide client education
• Ensure risk management and maintain quality standards
• Handle clinical administrative duties and operational tasks
• Engage in ongoing education and research initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)

Additional Information

• Experience with autism, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities is preferred
• Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) is mandatory
