Personal Support Worker (PSW)

About the Role

Safe Umbrella Healthcare is seeking part-time Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to deliver vital care services to clients across the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, initiative, and a professional approach to client care. Flexibility is required as the role may include short-term contract postings within the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct personal care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as hygiene maintenance, feeding, and mobility support.
• Follow care plans and instructions from supervising healthcare professionals.
• Observe for changes in client health status and report accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and healthcare standards.

Required Qualifications and Documentation

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or Nursing Certificate.
• Recent (within 6 months) Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Completion of full immunization schedule, including Hepatitis B.
• Negative TB test within the past 6 months.
• N95 respirator fit test documentation.
• Proof of minimum two doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar support or care role.

Additional Information

• Applicants must be willing to relocate within the Greater Toronto Area for temporary assignments (minimum 3-month periods).
• Positions available on part-time, full-time, casual, or temporary basis.
