Role Overview

The Performance Management Specialist at First Gulf Company (FGC) plays a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the company's performance management systems to support over 4,000 employees across multiple divisions. This specialist helps foster a high-performance culture by embedding KPI-driven and Balanced Scorecard methodologies aligned with FGC's strategic goals, contributing directly to the organization's commitment to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and refine a comprehensive performance management framework utilizing KPIs and Balanced Scorecard methods tailored to three main divisions: Systems Integration, Construction & MEP, and Facility Management.
  • Create uniform performance assessment tools such as templates, rating scales, and evaluation standards that are applicable across various roles from field engineers to corporate functions.
  • Lead the annual objective-setting process by collaborating with department leaders to cascade organizational KPIs to team and individual levels, ensuring clear and measurable targets.
  • Provide coaching to managers and employees on establishing SMART goals and defining performance indicators linked to business outcomes.
  • Oversee the entire performance review cycle including mid-year evaluations and annual assessments to guarantee timely and fair completion, facilitating calibration sessions to standardize ratings and minimize bias.
  • Analyze performance data to recognize trends, identify risks and high performers, and highlight skill gaps; report insights to HR leadership and business management.
  • Maintain and update performance dashboards and generate routine reports detailing completion rates, rating distributions, and performance trends over time.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers on effective performance dialogues, feedback techniques, and system utilization.
  • Serve as the expert resource on performance management, answering queries from managers and employees across all locations.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to connect performance outcomes with individualized development plans, training needs, and career progression.
  • Work alongside Compensation & Benefits to ensure performance evaluations influence rewards, promotions, and compliance with Saudization (Nitaqat) initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent are strongly preferred; additional certifications in performance management or organizational development are advantageous.
  • At least 4 to 6 years of advancing experience in HR focused on performance management, organizational effectiveness, or HR business partnership roles.
  • Proven track record in designing and administrating KPI or Balanced Scorecard frameworks in mid- to large-sized organizations.
  • Experience working with technically diverse or project-based teams, preferably in sectors like construction, engineering, or systems integration, is a plus.
