People Operations Specialist

Overview

This position involves managing the daily operations of human resources, onboarding, and compliance efforts to support scalable people programs effectively. Serving as the operational core of the HR team, the role connects talent acquisition, payroll, and employee experience for seamless HR workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead global onboarding and offboarding procedures by coordinating with IT, payroll teams, and hiring managers to enable smooth employee transitions.
• Oversee core HR information systems like Rippling, Workday, or BambooHR, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all employee records.
• Administer compliance initiatives including mandatory training, I-9 verification, labor law postings, and annual reporting obligations.
• Address employee questions promptly about benefits, payroll, leave policies, and other HR programs with empathy and thoroughness.
• Analyze human resources data to create monthly reports monitoring headcount metrics, attrition patterns, and onboarding feedback.
• Collaborate closely with finance and payroll teams to improve payroll preparation, equity tracking, and benefit administration processes monthly.

Candidate Profile

• Three to five years of human resources or people operations experience, ideally within a dynamic technology firm.
• Strong expertise with modern HRIS platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, Sequoia, or Workday, along with familiarity using ticketing systems.
• Well-versed in U.S. federal, state, and local employment regulations and HR compliance standards.
• Proven capability to manage confidential employee information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
• Additional advantage if holding professional HR certification like PHR or SHRM-CP, and experience supporting international remote-first teams.
