Job description

About the Role

This is a temporary, nine-month position located in Mairangi Bay, Auckland, focusing on delivering comprehensive support across the employee lifecycle.

The coordinator will manage administrative and operational tasks for the People & Culture team, including recruitment, employee onboarding and offboarding, maintaining accurate personnel records, and supporting payroll processes.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with performance reviews, employee engagement, coordinating training sessions, preparing HR-related reports, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrate recruitment activities such as advertising vacancies, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment contracts.
  • Facilitate onboarding and exit procedures for employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files and HR systems.
  • Support payroll by providing precise employee data and documentation.
  • Assist in the management of performance appraisals and employee engagement programs.
  • Coordinate training and development schedules and maintain related records.
  • Generate HR reports, spreadsheets, and perform data analysis as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and internal controls.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in a People & Culture or HR administrative role.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at fostering positive relationships with employees, supervisors, and external parties.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or recruitment software is beneficial.
  • Professional, approachable demeanor with a focus on people.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Self-driven with a proactive, responsible approach.
