Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for executing timely and precise semi-monthly and monthly payroll for several global legal entities, including the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, and France. This position demands a detail-focused individual capable of juggling multiple tasks to efficiently manage the entire payroll process from data input through payment disbursement, ensuring accuracy and punctuality across all locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute payroll processing by preparing and ensuring prompt semi-monthly and monthly payroll transactions.
- Calculate and administer variable compensation such as performance bonuses and commissions.
- Manage employee garnishments with the support of external payroll providers.
- Verify the accuracy of benefit deductions and employer contributions, including calculating adjustment catch-ups or recalculations where necessary.
- Oversee tax withholdings, salary modifications, and deductions, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Handle payroll-related adjustments including tax filings, 401(k), HSA, and healthcare deduction limits, ensuring proper authorization.
- Maintain detailed and accurate payroll records and generate reports as required.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data, guaranteeing precise month-end accruals.
- Address employee payroll inquiries, provide necessary information, and escalate complex issues to management.
- Ensure proper approval and tracking of employee paid time off and other leaves for payroll purposes.
- Keep employee payroll records secure and complete to maintain compliant audit trails.
- Prepare and distribute year-end tax documentation including W2s, W2Cs, and 1095-Cs.
- Serve as the liaison between HighRadius and third-party payroll services, maintaining current and accurate payroll records.
- Support special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with over 5 years of payroll experience.
- Prior experience with payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now is essential; familiarity with iiPAY or other international payroll systems is advantageous.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive payroll information.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and resilience under pressure.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
