Job Overview
Join a global leader in hospitality as a Payroll Manager within the German Shared Services team, based in Eschborn (Frankfurt), Germany. This role involves hands-on leadership to ensure precise and compliant payroll operations across various entities, while managing a small team and focusing on continuous process enhancements. The position requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to maintain an efficient, compliant, and high-performing payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll process for multiple entities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three payroll specialists.
- Guarantee compliance with German payroll, tax, and social security regulations.
- Supervise payroll systems, reporting, audits, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance teams, auditors, and external payroll vendors.
- Initiate improvements, standardisation, and automation of payroll processes.
- Assist with payroll system testing, documentation, and training users.
Requirements
- Two to three years or more experience handling German payroll.
- Comprehensive understanding of German payroll laws, tax codes, and social security.
- Leadership experience is advantageous but not mandatory for a qualified candidate.
- Background in shared services or managing payroll across multiple entities is beneficial.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms, with SAP Payroll experience considered an advantage.
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English is mandatory.
