About the Role
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is a premier emergency response organization comprising the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) and Emergency Medical Service (EMS). The SCDF is committed to protecting lives and property, responding effectively during crises, and supporting the community in both peaceful times and emergencies.
Job Scope
As a Paramedic Specialist with the SCDF, you will be trained to deliver expert prehospital emergency care. You will remain composed in critical situations, quickly assess patient conditions, and administer appropriate treatment with skill and care.
Career progression includes opportunities to advance to senior roles such as chief paramedic, paramedic instructor, or medical training coordinator. Dedicated paramedics may also achieve Level 4 Certified Paramedic status. High-performing individuals may benefit from accelerated promotion prospects, potentially advancing directly to the rank of lieutenant and beyond.
Compensation and Benefits
Successful candidates will be employed on a secure, full-time basis with an attractive pay package ranging from SGD 2,940 to SGD 4,370 monthly, inclusive of frontline allowances. A sign-on bonus of SGD 30,000 is offered subject to eligibility.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a diploma from Polytechnic, or Higher NITEC in Paramedicine & Emergency Care, or relevant qualifications from IB, NUS High School, NAFA, or LASALLE
- For applicants with National Service obligations, a medical classification of PES B1 or higher is required
- Meeting the minimum physical fitness standards, including passing the IPPT
- Pre-enlistees must commit to a 5-year Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) in place of National Service obligations
