Job Overview
Join FedEx Canada as a Package Handler responsible for managing freight through loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting within the facility. This role supports logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate handling of packages.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load freight shipments.
- Scan packages and sort according to destination or process requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operational procedures and Canadian Customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to complete all required training successfully, including initial and recurring programs.
- Capable of lifting 70 pounds manually and managing packages up to 150 pounds using appropriate equipment.
Additional Information
- Grade level: 79
- Compensation range: $21 per hour
- Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
- Incumbents must be proficient with basic PC Windows environments and able to perform all assigned duties including any required testing and annual accreditation maintenance.
- Ability to work various shifts based on business needs.
- Bilingual requirements apply in Quebec (French and English).
