Role Overview

As the Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role bridging procurement, supply chain, project management, and customer service. This position involves managing container procurement, vendor relationships, and the delivery of distinctive product lines. You will act as the liaison among suppliers, internal teams, and clients, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders at competitive rates, while overseeing complex container products from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute container procurement to meet operational demand in various markets promptly.
Formulate cost-effective sourcing strategies without compromising quality.
Negotiate with suppliers for optimal pricing and adherence to specifications.
Support accurate inventory administration and order processing to prevent aging stock and maintain system accuracy.
Coordinate with a wide network of trucking partners to manage deliveries efficiently.
Provide direct support to customers to ensure an exceptional service experience.
Analyze and resolve immediate operational issues by identifying root causes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate solutions.
Work closely with sales and engineering to improve supply chain and logistics offerings for enhanced customer and partner satisfaction.
Detect procurement or delivery inefficiencies through data analysis and recommend operational improvements.
Manage the Modkit accessories program end-to-end, including sourcing vendors, tracking inventory, overseeing delivery, and handling warranty concerns.
Oversee container modification projects by managing vendor relationships, developing quotes, coordinating suppliers and modification shops, and keeping customers informed throughout delivery.
Source, price, and coordinate inspections of specialty units like reefers with qualified technicians, handling necessary remediation.
Identify and implement opportunities to introduce value-added services and coordinate their deployment as the company scales.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of three years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, operations, or project management with comprehensive knowledge of the supply chain lifecycle involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen to balance customer demands, supplier relations, and profitability with sound decision-making in ambiguous settings.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple active projects and priorities effectively.
Excellent communication capabilities to keep internal teams, vendors, and customers well-informed and confident.
Proactive problem-solving approach with the initiative to identify issues and propose evidence-supported solutions.
Data-driven and strategic thinker capable of breaking down complex problems into actionable steps.
Adaptability to work with suppliers and partners nationwide, adjusting to time zone demands to ensure coverage.
Experience in logistics, shipping container industry, construction, or related areas is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000 annually, with potential to increase to $62,000–$82,000 through performance-based incentives.
