Overview
Join as an Online Adjunct Faculty member with Outdoor Resource Center associated with BYU-Idaho. This flexible part-time, remote teaching opportunity enables you to contribute academically while maintaining your personal schedule. Our instructors blend their professional expertise with personal testimonies within a faith-based university system committed to discipleship and leadership development.
Compensation
Compensation starts at $1,250 per load hour, varying according to educational background and responsibilities. Master's degree holders earn $1,350 per load hour, while bachelor's degree holders start at $1,250. Additional roles such as leadership, course improvements, and training can provide pay rates between $1,400 and $1,610 per load hour. Benefits are limited to employee assistance programs only.
Curriculum and Instruction
The curriculum is pre-developed by academic experts and instructional designers; live video lectures are generally not required.
Instructor Expectations
- Employment through OLL Services LLC, guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints principles.
- Adherence to the Church Educational System Honor Code and support for its mission.
- Uphold ecclesiastical standards, including holding and maintaining a current temple recommend.
Qualifications
- Possess a master’s degree or higher unless otherwise specified.
- Preferred prior experience in related professional fields.
- No mandatory prior teaching experience, though it can be beneficial.
Residency Restrictions
Candidates must reside in one of the authorized states (Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming).

Additional Information
- Part-time employees of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints entities cannot simultaneously hold this position.
