Odoo Developer

About the Role

Join Oak-Odo as an Odoo Developer to design and tailor Odoo modules for clients in the UAE spanning industries such as manufacturing, real estate, distribution, and e-commerce.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Have over 4 years of experience in Python development.
• At least 2 years' hands-on experience developing Odoo modules, specifically versions 15 to 18.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including query writing, performance optimization, and indexing.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and OWL (Odoo's frontend framework).
• Experience using Git workflows and deploying applications on Odoo.sh platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holding an Odoo Functional Certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and WPS integration within Odoo is a plus.
• Ability to speak Arabic fluently is favorable.
• Basic understanding of Linux system administration, Docker containers, and CI-CD processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop new Odoo modules and adapt existing ones to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, perform testing, and manage deployments using Odoo.sh.
• Integrate the Odoo system with external platforms such as Shopify, payment gateways, e-invoicing services, and banking systems.
• Collaborate directly with implementation consultants to interpret business needs into effective coding solutions.
• Maintain and update shared internal libraries utilized across six companies within the ARMOR Group.
