Job Overview

We are looking for a Network Engineer specializing in LAN and WLAN at levels L1/L2 to join us immediately in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 8 years of experience and be able to manage and support enterprise network infrastructure while working under strict SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues across enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware including Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper switches, routers, wireless controllers, and access points.
  • Handle L1 and L2 incident management involving routing, switching, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), DHCP, DNS, WLAN, and overall network connectivity.
  • Conduct device health assessments, perform firmware upgrades, backup configurations, and implement network changes efficiently.
  • Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow and Remedy to track issues and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Escalate complex network problems to Tier 3 support and contribute to root cause analysis documentation.
  • Collaborate with field engineers, internet service providers, and vendors during incident resolution and network deployments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies.
  • Practical expertise with Cisco and Aruba wireless networking solutions.
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols including VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP (basic to intermediate level), HSRP, and EtherChannel.
  • Experience with WLAN components such as Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, SSIDs, 802.1X authentication, and RF troubleshooting.
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and Quality of Service (QoS) configurations.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or ManageEngine.
  • Certification requirement: CCNA is mandatory; CCNP certification is preferred.
