Role Responsibilities

• Improve the quality assessment framework for NbS projects focusing on goodcarbon's impact criteria.
• Utilize our nature intelligence tools to evaluate NbS projects available in the marketplace.
• Conduct research and develop innovative standards for emerging carbon sequestration project types and credit categories, such as biodiversity credits.
• Build intelligence on new methodologies, standards, and monitoring technologies within the NbS sector.
• Contribute insightful and innovative knowledge to support our content marketing efforts on NbS topics.
• Establish partnerships with scientific collaborators and project developers to enhance our project pipeline.

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree or PhD (preferred) in environmental science, particularly focusing on carbon sequestration or Nature-Based Solutions.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in NbS research or project development.
• Expertise and familiarity with current NbS methodologies, verification standards, and monitoring technologies.
• Motivation to develop and define new standards and elevate quality in the NbS marketplace.
• Established network of experts within the NbS domain.
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in German is an advantage, as part of our international team.
