Job Overview
Join a dedicated team focused on maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning commercial and industrial facilities. As a Mobile Cleaner II, you will independently service a variety of locations, delivering routine and specialized cleaning to promote hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in assigned buildings including offices, common areas, and meeting rooms by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean restrooms thoroughly, restock supplies, and manage waste and recycling disposal.
- Handle interior glass cleaning and upkeep of entrance areas along with exterior litter pickup to keep surroundings tidy.
- Perform specialized cleaning such as deep carpet and upholstery cleaning, operate advanced equipment like auto scrubbers and carpet extractors, and restore hard floors by stripping, refinishing, and polishing.
- Conduct high-level dusting, pressure washing of exteriors and walkways, and manage emergency cleaning related to spills, leaks, or contamination.
- Remove snow and ice hazards from building entrances and pathways when needed.
- Carry out quality inspections and assessments, document work with photos and reports, and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with installation and repair of washroom dispensers and relocate cleaning supplies between sites as required.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental guidelines to ensure a safe workplace.
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional cleaning roles.
- Proficiency in using professional cleaning machines and understanding of cleaning techniques and products.
- Familiarity with WHMIS regulations and workplace safety policies.
- Self-driven, able to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Comfort in using smartphones, tablets, and digital tools for reporting.
- A positive attitude and commitment to safety standards.
- Team-oriented but takes personal responsibility for quality results.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Shifts may include day, evening, or night hours and require availability for on-call emergency response.
- Physical tasks include lifting up to 35 lbs and frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements.
- Regular travel between multiple facility locations is essential.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Capability to wear necessary personal protective equipment during work.
