Medical Officer

Job Overview

This position involves delivering critical medical care and health awareness across four villages with a total population of 12,000, addressing challenges such as illiteracy and lack of health knowledge in rural settings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct daily outdoor and indoor patient consultations.
• Manage housekeeping and waste disposal associated with medical facilities.
• Operate clinical laboratories and oversee pharmacy services.
• Provide physiotherapy services for both outdoor and indoor treatments.
• Promote preventive healthcare through awareness campaigns, diagnostic camps, regular yoga sessions, immunizations, and alternative medicine practices.
• Organize free consultation camps and administer minor emergency medical procedures.
• Offer comprehensive maternal healthcare including antenatal and postnatal care, counseling, family planning, prenatal advice, and encouraging institutional deliveries. Coordinate weekly visits by obstetrics and gynecology specialists and promote breastfeeding.
• Ensure child health through universal immunization programs, fortnightly pediatric specialist visits, nutritional awareness, parenting guidance, counseling, and initiatives such as pulse polio drives.
