About Publicis West Africa
Publicis West Africa (PWA) is seeking a driven and impactful Media Operations Director to lead our media team in Accra and manage media activities across 25 West African countries. This role involves directing media workflows, vendor relations, and supporting integrated campaign success while encouraging a collaborative and progressive team atmosphere.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will ensure flawless daily media operations, manage billing and invoicing processes, and enhance team productivity in alignment with the agency's strategic goals. Close collaboration with regional teams and departments is critical for maintaining streamlined workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Media with daily operational oversight including media traffic, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with account teams, planners, finance, and regional stakeholders to optimize integrated billing and operational workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client and agency billing procedures across CWAR markets, acting as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries and escalations.
- Develop joint solutions with local and regional teams to enhance billing processes and turnaround efficiency.
- Work alongside strategists and planners to craft strategic integrated solutions for brand marketing objectives.
- Produce accurate reporting on account status, campaign progress, and new business opportunities.
- Serve as the local liaison for system implementations such as Growth OS, ITS, and Chase, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and training facilitation.
- Uphold professional discretion representing the agency at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by senior leadership.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or closely related discipline.
- Minimum five years’ experience in media operations or equivalent roles.
- Deep understanding of media planning, buying, and financial management including budgeting and negotiation.
- Ability to manage pressures and deadlines in fast-moving environments.
- Excellent communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Additional Information
- Familiarity with digital and traditional media channels such as social media, TV, and radio is advantageous.
- Commitment to keeping current with industry trends and new technologies.
- Participation in industry networking events and conferences encouraged.
- Advanced skills in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and detail orientation required.
- Demonstrated initiative and follow-up capability essential.
- Fluency in French speaking and writing is a plus.
