Manager, Procurement Operations

Overview

Join Mondelēz International as a Manager in Procurement Operations and become a pivotal contact for local leadership within a designated geographic area or plant. This role involves managing collaboration between business stakeholders and sourcing teams, while working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial departments. You will also drive local deployment of regional and global projects related to procurement.

Key Contributions

In this position, you will oversee daily procurement activities, acting as the primary representative of procurement for a specific site or region. Responsibilities include managing daily interactions with plants, supply chain, commercial teams, quality assurance, sourcing teams, and suppliers. You are responsible for meeting service-level goals by ensuring material availability, escalating issues as necessary, supporting implementation and activation of business continuity plans, facilitating sourcing projects, handling sourcing/spot-buying and contracting duties in alignment with accountable spend categories, and maintaining compliance with source-to-pay process indicators, implementing corrective measures when needed.

Additional Role Requirements

• Highly motivated to achieve results and adept at quickly shifting focus among multiple procurement-related issues
• Analytical skills to define problems, identify root causes, engage appropriate stakeholders, and devise solutions
• Ability to cultivate strong business relationships across departments including Materials Management, Plant Operations, Accounts Payable, Legal, and Finance
• Substantial knowledge of procurement in large multinational corporations
• Experience within the food industry, supply chain, and operations
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, organizational models, and working methods

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's in Supply Chain, or equivalent qualification
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement roles

Additional Details

• Some travel expected within the Greater Toronto Area
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, hybrid work environment

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position is projected to be between 102600 and 128250 CAD annually, depending on factors such as experience and education. The role also offers participation in a competitive bonus program with a target bonus of 14%, and potential for additional earnings based on performance and company results.
