Overview
This position involves comprehensive oversight of a designated high-rise tower construction project to ensure completion within set timelines while upholding quality and safety standards. The role requires effective ground-level supervision and collaboration with Project Management Consultants (PMC), contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities, including civil, structural, finishing, and MEP components, for the assigned tower.
- Develop and monitor daily and weekly execution plans aligned with the overall project schedule.
- Track site progress and ensure compliance with all milestone deadlines, including slab cycles and finishing stages.
- Coordinate efficiently with PMC, contractors, and internal stakeholders to promptly address site challenges.
- Ensure all work meets design specifications and quality standards to minimize defects and rework.
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols aiming for zero major incidents onsite.
- Monitor material needs and coordinate to guarantee timely availability on site.
- Validate and approve contractor invoices based on verified progress.
- Maintain comprehensive daily and weekly management information system (MIS) reports, proactively identifying and flagging potential risks.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Candidate must hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience specifically in construction management within the real estate or construction industry sectors. Preferred experience ranges between 15 to 18 years.
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated expertise in construction management with a deep understanding of industry best practices and processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and relevant codes, regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Insight into all phases of the construction lifecycle.
- Familiarity with construction management software tools.
- Strong planning capabilities with the ability to maintain a strategic overview of project status.
- Skilled in managing conflicts and crises effectively.
- Proven leadership and human resources management abilities.
- Excellent skills in time management and coordinating complex projects.
