Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician is charged with enhancing the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing machinery. Responsibilities include implementing preventative maintenance, upgrading equipment for optimized production, diagnosing issues to reduce downtime and quality defects, and overall improving machine function.

Schedule and Compensation

The position is a night shift role from 6:00pm to 6:00am, with a rotating schedule encompassing four 12-hour shifts monthly. The hourly wage ranges from $30 to $36 based on experience, plus applicable shift differential. Work is performed on-site in Walton, KY, with no travel expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Support production by maintaining a safe and functional work environment.
• Contribute to the GMP Master Sanitation Program in assigned areas.
• Engage in ongoing preventative and predictive maintenance efforts.
• Assist with inventory control alongside the Maintenance Clerk.
• Help Maintenance Manager ensure daily routines and tasks are completed on schedule.
• Document detailed maintenance activities and comments using company tracking systems such as Red Zone and CMMS.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Self-driven and capable of initiating tasks independently.
• Ability to guide and motivate team members to complete tasks effectively.
• Compliance with instructions and a strong sense of pride in workmanship.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities and capacity to offer technical support.
• Competence in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and machine blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with strong skills in maintaining accurate documentation.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekends as necessary.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship (mechanical, electrical, machinist, pipefitting, etc.) is preferred but not required.
• At least five years of maintenance-related or technical work experience is necessary.
